Carlton Cole just had his contract cancelled by his club. I'm assuming he was abysmal just as he was at Celtic and for us.
Joe Cole had an interview on sky recently and he said he went on holiday in the area and loved the location and got in touch with the local team to stay.
I'm sure he'd be capable of playing in the MLS but it's hard because of wage caps (designated player slots) and internationals slots where you're only allowed 8 non US players.
Plenty of English players in the MLS who are playing there.
Ridgewell, Tyrone MEARS, Wright Philips brothers, Bradley is a legend for Red Bulls, Steven Taylor...
There's this left footed English kid called Jack Harrison who was in Man Utd youth team. He went to college in the US and was entered into the SuperDraft, (where you are auctioned basically) and NYCFC bought him from some team who'd already drafted him they were so determined to get him in
He's been a sensation over there

I haven't bothered to watch any US club football ever, so I haven't a clue whether he deserves it or not.
And he's too Chelsea for my liking, so there's no way I'd vote for him if I don't know if he actually deserves this award
